Eligibility Requirements for Aged Parent Visa 804
To be eligible for the Aged Parent Visa (Subclass 804), both the sponsor and the applicant must meet specific criteria:
Sponsor Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen who is settled in Australia
- Must agree to provide accommodation and financial support for the applicant during their first two years in Australia
- Additional conditions may apply
Applicant Requirements:
- Must be in Australia (but not in immigration clearance) at the time of application
- Must not currently hold or have applied for a Subclass 870 Sponsored Parent (Temporary) visa
- Must be at least 67 years of age (the Australian pension age)
